Barbara Cording, RN, BSN has over 45 years’ experience in home health care in New York and New Jersey. Her experience includes positions at the Visiting Nurse Service of NY, Group Health Insurance (GHI) Home Care, Overlook Hospital Home Care, and Morris County Vocational Technical School.
Barbara worked for 20 years at the Commission on Accreditation for Home Care (CAHC), first as an RN Field Nurse Surveyor and Program Coordinator, and 10 years as its Executive Director until her retirement in February 2015.
She is a graduate of Hunter College – Bellevue School of Nursing, class of 1975.
Barbara is a Commission on Accreditation for Home Care (CAHC) recommended consultant and an Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) certified consultant. Barbara is a former member of the Accreditation Review Board of the National Institute for Home Care Accreditation (NIHCA).
The nurses who work with Barbara are all New Jersey Board of Nursing Registered Nurses with extensive home care and accreditation experience.
Her extensive home care background has never let her forget that it is the patient at the center of these services.
